OUR HISTORY

After extensive nationwide research in the early 1970s into asphalt preservation products, Albert Gee launched
Gee Asphalt Systems in 1973, following more than twenty years' experience with Gee Grading and Excavating, the
successful earthmoving business he founded in 1950. Albert's desire was to preserve the ever increasing volume of
asphalt pavement found in public roads and highways, airports, commercial and shopping center parking lots, and
industrial and manufacturing sites as well. Albert was a visionary thinker interested in helping other people.

Albert Gee's early research into the properties of asphalt pavements and how they quickly degrade from exposure
to environmental forces led him to the realization that effective preservation practices would significantly extend
the life of asphalt surfaces. After his study of many coatings and processes, Albert chose GSB product line because
of the uniqueness and compatibility of Gilsonite with all asphalt pavements.

Albert discovered that GSB offers more "asphalt compatible" longer wear, superior performance, and outstanding appearance
compared to the "top only" coating processes like coal tar seal coatings. He was also concerned about safety and health
of his employees. Even back in the seventies he discovered the serious health consequences associated with coal tar coatings
which helped sway him towards the environmentally friendly and EPA tested GSB product line in the spring of 1973. Today his
hard work and perseverance in finding the safest and best asphalt
preservation product has paid off in our continued growth
and the loyalty of our customers.

Dan Gee is now the President of Gee Asphalt Systems Inc. Dan has worked in the family businesses since 1970, and later purchased
Gee Asphalt Systems from the family in April of 1984. Dan has applied his business degree to grow Gee Asphalt and expand the
services offered to a nationwide audience. His vision is to offer comprehensive preservation
strategies for preserving asphalt pavement,
incorporating client training and knowledge, using only the best products available, and providing superior service.
Since purchasing Gee Asphalt, Dan has continued a philosophy of on-going research into effective preservation processes including
crack sealing and surface preservation. After witnessing the exceptional performance of Gilsonite products in Midwestern installations,
he was determined to bring his philosophy of quality products and service to a nationwide audience. Gee Asphalt has experienced 20
fold growth as testimony to these principals from 1984 until today.

As one of approximately sixty five Asphalt Systems, Inc. dealers in the United States, Gee Asphalt is the only GSB applicator with thirty
five years' of continuous experience who also travels to projects across the nation. Gee Asphalt has moved briskly into the new millennium
embracing change, upgrading machinery and fleet to represent the latest technology in high production tools and equipment available.
All this to better serve you.
There is however an aspect of Gee that remains old fashioned. We hold on to
old beliefs that a hard days work is what our customers deserve.
Honesty in all our relations is of utmost importance, and integrity is not just a word, but
